“Falling, rushing, ruining! Buried in the ruins, on Urthona’s dens.” — Blake

Enter Maybe I Shouldn't Have Gone Down the Rabbit Hole After All, a cinematic platformer where classical poetry and gameplay intertwine. Journey through a frostbitten realm where mysteries lie beneath the snow.

A platformer written in verse

At the edge of a forest, a rabbit hesitates. One leap carries him into a realm that bends like a verse: shadows that shift, puzzles that whisper, landscapes that linger like half-remembered dreams.

Maybe I Shouldn't Have Gone Down the Rabbit Hole After All blurs the line between story and experience. Wander through surreal landscapes where every shadow, sound, and step matters. The world reacts to your presence, unfolding in unexpected ways as you move through its poetic and mysterious spaces.

Every movement feels deliberate, every pause a moment of subtle observation. More than a game, The Rabbit Hole is a literary experiment, where classical poetry, sound, and interactivity merge into a fragile, immersive journey. Time, memory, and exploration shape the story, making the experience uniquely your own.

This is the rabbit hole.
Will you dare to jump?

“O Heaven! Is the white Tomb of our Loved One, who died from our arms, and had to be left behind us there… Believe it thou must; understand it thou canst not.”

The game is really good and, importantly, very well made with great attention to detail. Dense atmosphere and excellent sound design. Thank you!

Your words mean more than I can say — thank you! I’m so glad the mood and sound resonated with you — it’s exactly what I hoped players would feel.

This is great! I'm a little confused about what to do once I get to the lighhouse though. There doesn't seem to be anything to interact with. Where do I go?

I’m really glad you’re enjoying the game so far!
At the lighthouse, open the door at the bottom to get inside. Once you’re at the top, interact with the phonograph.
And if you want a full guide, there’s a Let’s Play video here:
