Maybe I Shouldn't Have Gone Down the Rabbit Hole After All
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Falling, rushing, ruining! buried in the ruins, on Urthona's dens.
— Blake
To jump, or not to jump, that is the question the rabbit lost in the woods asks himself.
With your help, he might be able to take the leap. As he falls into a dark and mysterious world, he wonders if he made the right choice.
I invite you to join him on this journey filled with mysteries and puzzles.
The Rabbit Hole is a cinematic platformer in the vein of Another World and INSIDE, but it's also a meditation on classical poetry: a literary experiment in video game form.
A palimpsest in which countless quotations are injected into a body of an interactive piece of contemporary pop culture. The text as a machine for creating a context for play and reflection. A pastiche, both tragic and ironic, absurd and full of pathos. An intertextual study and a video game about a bunny.
This is the rabbit hole you might dare to jump into.
Or maybe you shouldn't?

O Heaven! Is the white Tomb of our Loved One, who died from our arms, and had to be left behind us there, which rises in the distance, like a pale, mournfully receding Milestone, to tell how many toilsome uncheered miles we have journeyed on alone,—but a pale spectral Illusion! Is the lost Friend still mysteriously Here, even as we are Here mysteriously, with God!—know of a truth that only the Time-shadows have perished, or are perishable; that the real Being of whatever was, and whatever is, and whatever will be, is even now and forever.
Believe it thou must; understand it thou canst not.
— Carlyle
